Wife hit a deer on Friday; drove car home as is, haha. Took it as an opportunity to swap to flathood/single rounds, which is what I've wanted to do for a while. Already ordered single rounds/grille/new trim strip. Sourced a flathood (white, unfortunately). Ziptied corner back in place, removed debris, fixed existing hood and re-oriented remaining low-beam headlight.
Anyone have amber corners/hella fogs/flathood to sell me? I have a possible in NC, but I'd prefer one closer, or not white. Haha. Also may need some other odds and ends, as the air intake hose is cracked, and the hood latch cable is snapped.

I like these with double-round, but you almost never see that on the road. My sister's diesel sedan, my brother's diesel wagon, and my uncles diesel wagon were all this combo - one of them I think with amber signals.

Volvo laughs at natures futile attacks. Havent seen one with the round lights in quite a while, should look pretty sweet.

I used to have an '84 with the 4 square lights. Always wanted to swap to rounds and a flat hood but I could never find any for sale - Have you tried turbobricks.com? Good luck and it's good that you are safe, go volvo!

I have! Single 7in rounds and grille are in the mail, flathood I found in NC but looking for one closer. If I can't find one I'll be driving down Thursday to get the hood, ipd lowering springs, and a rear sway. Possibly some other stuff too - guy is parting out a 244 and 245 and has a lot of stuff to get rid of for cheapish.

Nice!
I'm doing single 7in rounds for now, and will probably add round fogs too because I like the look. Really want to find amber corners first though, I really dislike the clears.

Haha, pretty much. I'll upload a photo when it's all put back together next weekend. Minus the terrible paint it should look pretty sweet! Depending on my paycheck this week I may start doing some other work too - it needs a new exhaust, so I may start saving for a swap and repaint and just keep it. Not sure yet.

Some friends of ours actually have a double-rounds one from the late 70s - currently hors de combat from I think an engine failure (unstellar maintenance). A bit ragged, but not a ruin yet.

Yeah, it was a "Deer" your wife hit. Right, sure it was. How long did it take for you to get the hoof out of your trunk. I mean the grill, yeah, the grill. ;P

Pretty much, haha. Photos will definitely happen! Grille and lights are super clean, so the contrast with the shitty hood should be interesting...

Haha, I'm usually that way, but my other car (13 GTI Wolfsburg) is still pretty decent, so it's making me more anal about my other cars. Repaint is expensive though, so I'm going to have to get over it I guess. :/

Nice! Pity about the engine, but double rounds are super hot.
